Slite wins Good Design Award!

Hey Team,

Last night we had the privilege of winning “Best in Class” at the Good Design Awards. Here’s a photo of Robbie and Alex accepting the award for Slite (and also the unofficial award for best speech, according to the slightly inebriated crowd).

This award officially recognizes Slite - the product YOU helped make possible!! - as the best designed consumer electronics product from a field of 900 global entrants. We’re… astonished - THANK *YOU*.

The judges were so impressed by the prototypes and off-tool samples that we still won the award. This gives us great confidence that you’ll be blown away by how incredible the finished product will be! Again, our sincerest apologies for the delay in getting your Slite shipped - we’re doing our best to make up time from parts shortages and will be in touch when we have a confirmed shipping date. Rest assured, the Slite coming your way is genuinely world-class! (Don’t take our word for it, ask the judges!)

In the meantime, thank you again for making this all possible. Without you, we would not have been able to bring our vision to life, much less create a world-class product. So, congratulations on this award - it’s yours too!

Slite App run-through!

Hey Slite Family,

Firstly, a gigantic thank you for your patience, kind words and encouragement: we’re on the home stretch! We wanted to share another exciting preview with you. 

This time we take a closer look at our smartphone app that you’ll soon be able to download for free - iOS and Android - and use with your Slite. Or, better yet, multiple Slites. Check out the short video below to see just a handful of the app’s amazing features. It’s been a year-long journey with our app design and development agency, Tapptitude, to get us here, but we couldn’t be more pleased with the outcome! Thanks to the team’s incredible efforts, you’ll have a super intuitive, fun and easy-to-use smartphone app to enable you to be even more creative with your Slite.

Again, we appreciate your patience with the manufacturing delays, and can’t wait to get a Slite (and the app) into your hands!

Slite LEDs!

Hey Slite team! 

Here's a brand new update on our LED production!

Check out our (and soon your!) custom 98+ CRI RGBWW LEDs coming off the press. Countless hours of calibration have been put in to ensuring the precision and accuracy of these LEDs, meaning your Slite will pump out extremely accurate white light (not to mention the 16million vivid colors at your disposal). To say we're excited is an understatement!

As previously mentioned, a few elements out of our control have slowed down the mould refinement. Unfortunately this means we've experienced delays and estimated shipping will now be September. Again, our primary objective is to get you (our supporters!) the best performing Slite as quickly as possible, without compromising on quality! We'd like to thank you very much for your patience and understanding!

Next update is going to be awesome - we'll be showing you our first off-tool samples!

Manufacturing update!

Hey Slite Team!

We wanted to share more progress with you!

Here’s a short video of Slite’s manufacturing team hard at work - we think they’re absolute machines .

Despite the delays out of our control (as we mentioned previously), we’re making real progress. So, despite these delays likely putting us a little behind our projected timeline, we’ll never compromise on the quality or integrity of our product. Hopefully you can appreciate we’re moving as quickly as possible, whilst ensuring that the Slite you receive is the best it can possibly be!

Another awesome piece of news is that our Slite smartphone app is on-track, with the development team at Tapptitude absolutely smashing every sprint! We can’t wait to share video of the app in full flight soon

Manufacturing update

Hey Slite Family! 

It's been a while, but we've been staying VERY busy.

Hope you enjoy this short video of me,  Alex, talking through footage of our moulds being made!We'll be sending Updates regularly on the following:

• Manufacturing: as you can see, it's well under way, but there have been slight delays! These delays were due to COVID lockdowns; we're managing them and expecting off-tool samples very soon. Once they're in-hand, you'll be the first to see them  
• LED calibration is nearly complete and we'll be sending another update on this next week. The RGB (colors) are looking great!
• Our smartphone app is progressing at a rapid rate thanks to the hard work of Tapptitude (our agency partners). We've been testing the app with the unit, and playing with the BETA apps on our iPhones and Androids. We'll do a little video soon showing off its awesome features, including the color picker!

Expect to hear from us regularly with major Updates like the above!
